Located close to Highcliffe village centre is the highly regarded Highcliffe Golf Club, with an 18-hole parkland course. If golf is a passion then Barton-on-Sea Golf Club is just short drive away and also highly regarded. Next door you’ll find Highcliffe Castle, a magnificent Grade 1 listed castle – once home to Mr and Mrs Selfridge.

The neighbouring bright lights of Bournemouth are just a few miles away and the New Forest National Park is on your doorstep, making Christchurch the perfect place to enjoy the very best of coast and country.

The large coastal town of Poole is also nearby; with the second largest natural harbour in the world it’s the destination for sailing and watersports. The beautiful blue flag beaches of the Purbecks are easy to reach via the chain ferry and are renowned for their natural beauty.

Travel Connections in Christchurch

Those that choose a home in Highcliffe and Christchurch will be well connected to rest of Dorset and beyond. Offering direct routes in and out of Bournemouth and Poole and to the M27 and M3 offering connections to London just under 2 hours.

Christchurch train station is excellent, with regular trains to Bournemouth, Southampton and London Waterloo. Both New Milton and Hinton Admiral train stations also have great transport links and will see you into London Waterloo in less than 2 hours.

Bournemouth Airport is around a 15-minute drive away from Christchurch.

Southampton Airport is also close by and around a 40-minute drive away.

Lymington is around a 15-minute drive away from Highcliffe and offers a high-speed ferry service to the Isle of Wight. Poole also is great for ferry links, with regular crossings to France and the Channel Islands.

Schools in Christchurch

Shops in Christchurch

Supermarkets: Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Lidl are all within easy reach of Highcliffe and Christchurch.

Shopping: Christchurch high street offers a mix of boutiques and specialist shops. There is a wide variety of individual and chain restaurants, cafes and pubs. In-between Christchurch and Highcliffe, the Meteor Shopping Park is home to well known high street brands such as TKMaxx, Matalan and Sports Direct.

Highcliffe is a very much up and coming high street, just a short stroll to the beach and with a selection of cafes and individual shops.

Close by is the town of Bournemouth, with a vast variety of high street shops. Castle Point Shopping Park is also near by and has a great selection of shops open until late.

Things to See and Do in Christchurch

Christchurch hosts fantastic events year round. From the famous Christchurch Food Festival to Christchurch Carnival, there is something for all ages. Highcliffe also host a renowned food festival as well as regular events at Highcliffe Castle.

The nearby town of Bournemouth is full of things to do all year round. The award winning air festival is one of the town’s most popular events and the BIC regularly plays host to world famous musicians and comedians.
